Membership

The Los Angeles Chapter of PNHP is dedicated to developing grassroots activism in Southern California. Although the majority of our active members reside in Los Angeles we have active members as far north as Santa Barbara and as far south as San Diego. PNHP California (California Physicians Alliance) intends to develop at least 4 regional chapters: the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Diego. The first phase of the regional chapter strategy will focus on strengthening a Northern California regional chapter based in Berkeley and a Southern California chapter based in Los Angeles. Until a San Diego chapter forms, the Los Angeles Chapter will send email alerts on news and alerts to the entire Southern California membership.

Although the Physicians For a National Health Program was founded by physicians and for physicians the organization has since broadened the mission to include nurses, other healthcare professionals and healthcare activists.

The Los Angeles chapter is interested in meeting every PNHP member in the Southern California region to ask how we can best serve you and to encourage you to join our activist infrastructure.
