Coalition

Some of the single payer organizations with activists in Los Angeles are listed below. Unfortunately there is currently no structured city coalition for these organizations. Most of these organizations do participate in a statewide coalition called the State Strategy Committee which has a monthly conference call on the first Friday of each month at 9am. And the LA labor organizations that support single payer meet monthly on the first Thursday of every month at 10:00am, at the L.A. County Federation of Labor (2130 James M. Wood Blvd.).  

PNHP LA plans to help organize a monthly meeting with representatives of all the key single payer organizations to develop a more cohesive grassroots strategy for advocacy in Los Angeles. Our focus will be on building the district leader network with teams of physicians, nurses and activists in every congressional district in Los Angeles.
