Action Alerts

Every month, PNHP has a national activist conference call on the last Thursday of the month. The following week, the California State Strategy Group (SSG) has a conference call on the first Friday of the month. In response to the recommendations of these two calls, the Los Angeles Chapter of PNHP develops an action plan for the month. This action plan, which we call the Action Alert, may involve visiting specific legislators to educate them prior to a crucial vote. It may involve a rally to draw attention to a critical issue. It could involve a press conference to publicize new health policy research. Once the action alert has been formulated, it is communicated to the regional coordinators and district leaders via a monthly conference call.
